Scope Awareness

Most homeowners don't know what their insurance scope is missing.

Storm damage can affect shingles, siding, gutters, vents, flashing, fascia, window wraps, and soft metals — but a carrier's first construction estimate may only address part of the exterior. Clear View documents the full system so homeowners can see the complete construction picture before making decisions.

How We Work

Five steps. Documented at every one.

From the first call to closeout. This is how documentation-first restoration moves — with the homeowner in the loop at every stage.

01
Inspect

A slope-by-slope inspection. Not a drone fly-by.

Hands on the roof, eyes on every component. We document slopes, valleys, flashing, soft metals, gutters, fascia, and window wraps — including elevations a wide-area inspection might miss.

Photo documented Same-day report
02
Document

The photo file is yours regardless of what we find.

Slope-by-slope photos, damage notes, measurement report, and a written summary built to survive being forwarded to an adjuster, supervisor, or attorney. Documentation that holds up under review.

Written report Carrier-ready
03
Scope Review

We review the construction scope with the homeowner.

After the inspection, we compare what was documented on-site against the carrier’s first construction estimate. Anything missing — code-required items, manufacturer-required components, or storm-damaged exterior elements — is flagged with photo-documented support so the homeowner can review with their adjuster.

Carrier Response Support

We help keep the conversation documented.

When a carrier disputes a construction item, we help the homeowner request written clarification — the specific policy language, estimating rationale, or applicable code or manufacturer basis being relied on. The conversation stays documented instead of verbal.

Written communication Code-aware
05
Restore

Built per code, per manufacturer, per scope.

Clean installation by trained crews. Roof, siding, gutters, soft metals — every component built to the approved scope. The closeout file is delivered for any recoverable depreciation owed under the policy.

Documentation in Action

What documentation-first looks like.

Real claim files, anonymized. Each plate shows what was documented, the components included in the scope, and what the revised carrier response addressed. Real before-and-after photography is being added as crews close out current claims — the placeholders below show the format every Clear View file follows.

Hail · 2-Story Photo coming · Sept claim

Powell, OH · 2-story colonial · September hail event.

Roof Soft metals Gutters + Code items

Outcome: Initial carrier scope omitted drip edge, valley metal, and 11 collateral soft-metal impacts. Revised scope addressed all items before build.

Wind · Ranch Photo coming · Oct claim

Dublin, OH · single-story ranch · October wind event.

Roof Underlayment Fascia wrap + Manufacturer specs

Outcome: Initial scope wrote a partial slope replacement. Revised scope addressed full slope with starter, ridge cap, and manufacturer-required hand-sealing of surrounding shingles.

HOA · Multifamily Photo coming · HOA portfolio

Central Ohio HOA · multi-building exterior assessment.

Roof Siding Gutters + Matching analysis

Outcome: Building-by-building review with documented matching concerns under Ohio Administrative Code 3901-1-54. HOA board received a clean per-building summary for the carrier file.

Note: Photos and identifying details are intentionally placeholder while current claim closeouts are anonymized for publication. The structure above mirrors how every Clear View documentation file is built for the carrier.
File Anatomy

What the carrier receives — slope-by-slope evidence, written damage notes, and a closeout photo strip. The structure below mirrors every documentation file we hand over.

Central Ohio Coverage

Storm exposure varies block to block.

Where we respond to claim work.

Central Ohio weather patterns don’t hit cities uniformly. Hail tracks often cut across two or three suburbs in a single storm, and wind damage is usually concentrated on a specific slope orientation. We document what was actually hit, not what a wide-area report guessed.

The cities below are where Clear View actively responds to wind, hail, and collateral damage claims. If your address sits between them, you’re almost certainly in our coverage radius — send us the address and we’ll confirm.
